And, age has been no bar for these fashion-forward celebs. “It’s not really about age, but more about personalities. Actors such as Sridevi and Madhuri are fabulously healthy, fit and beautiful. Typecasting is now a thing of the past; women are confident enough to bare,” says designer Gaurav Gupta.
However , some believe that low necklines have always been in vogue. “It’s probably a co-incidence that many wore cleavage-baring necklines. The trend has been there for sometime and it’s nothing really new,” says Leena Singh of Ashima Leena. “The current trend is baroque, high-necks and collars, not plunging neck-lines. But, if someone can carry it well, it can still work,” says designer Reynu Taandon.
